Apple Music’s New Feature Sparks Spotify Envy: All-Time Replay Playlist Revealed

Apple Music’s Decade-Long Playlist: A Feature Spotify Should Copy

To mark its ten-year anniversary, Apple Music is introducing a groundbreaking “Replay All Time” playlist. This playlist will showcase users’ most frequently played songs, dating back to their first day on the platform.

This new feature expands on Apple Music’s annual “Replay” playlists. Instead of just summarizing a single year’s listening habits, it offers a comprehensive overview of a user’s entire Apple Music history.

Apple has not yet specified whether “Replay All Time” will be a permanent feature or a limited-time offering. Although the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, it’s anticipated soon, coinciding with Apple Music’s June 30th, 2015 launch date.

The playlist will be accessible within the main Home tab of the Apple Music application.

Alongside this announcement, Apple also highlighted other anniversary celebrations. These include the inauguration of a large, state-of-the-art studio in Los Angeles, designed to support musicians at all career stages.

This impressive three-story facility provides artists with top-tier resources to enhance their creative process.

Apple Music Radio will also feature a week-long program of live shows and exclusive content to commemorate the milestone. A countdown of the five hundred most-streamed songs of the last decade will debut on July 1st, with the playlist available for streaming starting July 5th.

Apple Music: A Growing Competitor

Apple Music, boasting millions of songs, continues to improve its service.

For nearly a decade, I’ve been a loyal Spotify user, drawn to its vast library and cross-platform availability. However, Apple Music’s recent enhancements are compelling me to reconsider.

Apple Music is now accessible on various platforms including Apple devices, Android, Windows, and the web.

New features such as time-synced lyrics, high-fidelity audio, and a dedicated classical music app, have significantly improved the user experience.

At its 2025 WWDC, Apple unveiled a redesigned Music interface and an AI-driven AutoMix feature for seamless transitions between songs.

Apple Music’s “Replay All Time” playlist is particularly appealing. This comprehensive listening history feature is currently unavailable on Spotify.

I sincerely hope Spotify will introduce a similar “all-time” Wrapped playlist. The ability to review long-term listening data is highly valuable.
