Gabbriette’s Fresh Take on Makeup: The Daytime Smoky Eye
At the premiere of “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” model Gabbriette showcased a captivating daytime smoky eye and a cool-toned brown lip. Her makeup artist, Melissa Hurkman, meticulously detailed the creation of this stunning look.
This makeup style is perfect for emulating throughout the summer months.
The Inspiration Behind the Look
The twenty-seven-year-old model collaborated with makeup artist Melissa Hurkman, utilizing MAC cosmetics, to create a look that captured the essence of the film’s 90s vibe while maintaining Gabbriette’s unique style.
Hurkman described the desired effect as a daytime smoky eye, featuring a subtle lift and warm brown liner at the inner and outer corners to emphasize the eye’s center. A fresh, lightly covered complexion with a delicate blush and the model’s signature cool-toned brown lip completed the look.
Recreating the Look
Hurkman began by applying MAC’s Hyper Real Serumizer to prepare and hydrate the model’s skin.
She then applied Strobe Cream in Pinklite to highlight the face, followed by a light layer of MAC Face and Body Foundation for even skin tone. Studio Radiance Concealer was used for added coverage, and Studio Fix Powder set the makeup. Finally, a soft blush completed the complexion.
For the eyes, Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Tailor Grey served as a base, blended across the eyelids and into the crease. A neutral grey eyeshadow was applied to the outer corners, and Blacktrack Fluidline was used on the upper waterline for definition. Costa Riche Eye Kohl was applied to the inner and outer lower waterline, leaving the center bare for a halo effect.
Gabbriette’s Signature Lip Look
Gabbriette’s signature lip look featured a Greige Lip Pencil softly blended with Lipglass Air in Instinct in the center, creating a cool-toned brown effect.
