Buc-ee’s Partners with Country Music Icons for Texas Flood Relief Concert

Buc-ee’s, renowned for its expansive stores, delectable snacks, and occasional celebrity encounters, is organizing a major fundraising concert to aid victims of the recent Texas floods. The mega-travel center chain is collaborating with numerous country music stars for this significant charity event.

On July 16th, Buc-ee’s announced “Robert Earl Keen and Friends: Applause For The Cause,” a benefit concert conceived by Texan native Robert Earl Keen. Keen aimed to assist those impacted by the devastating July 4th floods in Kerr County, prompting him to assemble a remarkable group of fellow musicians for a single-night event, with Buc-ee’s joining the fundraising effort.

Keen described the event as featuring a “star-studded lineup” with music spanning the afternoon and evening. He emphasized the urgent need for extensive and sustained aid for the affected communities. Buc-ee’s founder, Beaver Aplin, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the Hill Country relief efforts, highlighting the scale of the tragedy and the appropriateness of this collaborative concert. Aplin confirmed that 100% of Buc-ee’s contribution would be channeled to the Community Foundation of the Hill Country.

“Robert Earl Keen and Friends: Applause For The Cause” will be held on August 28th at the Whitewater Amphitheater near New Braunfels, Texas. Doors open at 3 p.m., promising a full day of performances. The event’s popularity led to the rapid sellout of both reserved seating ($200) and general admission ($99) tickets. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Social media reactions showcased the event’s immediate impact, with many expressing excitement and pride at the Texas country music community’s unified support for the Hill Country. Numerous comments highlighted the rapid ticket sellout and the impressive lineup of performers. One question frequently asked was the possibility of a live stream with a donation option for those unable to attend.
