Why Most People Fail
Over the years, I’ve been studying how individuals cope with crises, including battle-hardened veterans, high-profile business executives, and those who have been oblivious to life’s toughest moments. Let me tell you the truth::
The majority of people experience failure, breakdown, or exhaustion due to a single reason
They freeze
They remain in the X, which is where everything is collapsing. When it’s the least risky thing to do
Here’s what distinguishes successful individuals from unsuccessful ones::
They move
The act of exiting the X is not just about strategy; it’s also the difference between victory and defeat, survival and failure, evolution or destruction
Can you explain the concept of “The X”? Understanding Your Danger Zone?
I had a tough time comprehending this fact. In the early stages of my profession, I observed brilliant individuals being defeated not because of their intelligence, but because they remained stationary while the world changed
The principle that ensures survival in an ambush is the same one that keeps you ahead in business, relationships, and life: a special forces operator:
Movement = Survival
This is the harsh truth about the X::
The most dangerous place during crisis is the one where danger is highest
Business is most affected by disruption in this area
Life is characterized by the loss of opportunities
If you are not aware of your location or freeze, you have reached the end of a task
The Freeze Response: Your Brain’s primary adversary is the brain
Have you ever wondered why a deer appears to freeze in its headlamps?
The same reason why you stutter in a presentation, stay stuck in an unhealthy relationship, or work that saps your soul can result in brain damage
CEOs, athletes, soldiers, and everyday professionals have all encountered this. The psychology is basic yet deadly::
Fear triggers freeze
From my interactions with crisis teams, executives, and high-stakes decision makers, it’s important to note that::
This response can be overridden
Breaking Free: The Art of Being Off The X
The key to getting off the X isn’t fearlessness, it’s about strategy
The workings are as follows::
Train Under Pressure
If you don’t meet expectations, your performance will be determined by your training
The reason why elite military teams, top athletes, and Fortune 500 executives simulate stressful environments is to achieve their goals. You’ll react more quickly in real life if you expose yourself to uncertainty, discomfort, and rapid decision-making
To prevent self-discipline, Start micro-stressing daily and push yourself intentionally to avoid discomfort
2. Choose Speed Over Perfection
I’ve talked to people who have managed to survive ambushes on the battlefield, market crashes, and personal crises. The perfect moment was missed by none of them. The reason they won the competition was that they moved first and adapted as they progressed
Perfection is the enemy of life
Action Step: Take a small step within 24 hours to begin the process of breaking the freeze cycle
3. Acquire Knowledge of Your XB efore It Hurts You To Death
Sometimes, the most perilous place isn’t an ambush or a weak economy
It’s your level of comfort
You’re working too hard, but it’s still a fulfilling job. ”
• That relationship that’s suffocating you but is “good enough. ”
You keep pushing forward with your dreams, but the reality is that it’s not happening at the right time. ”
If you don’t move, you’re already dying there
Action Step: Identify one area of your life where you’re stuck on the X
How to Get Off the XR ight Now
You don’t need a perfect plan. You need movement. Here’s what you do today:
1. Identify Your X
Ask yourself:
• Where am I hesitating while risk builds around me?
• What am I avoiding because it’s uncomfortable?
• What’s the one move IK NO WI need to make but keep postponing?
2. Make the First Move
Small moves create momentum. If you can’t quit the job, update your résumé. If you can’t leave today, start setting boundaries. If you’re stuck, ask for help. Just do something
3. Build Your Escape Plan
Survivors always have options. In business, relationships, and life, the person with multiple exits always wins
Ask yourself:
• What’s my Plan B if this job fails?
• What’s my next step if this relationship doesn’t improve?
• How can I create multiple income streams, skills, or networks to avoid being trapped?
If you have options, you have power
The Hard Truth About Movement
Let me be blunt:
Movement isn’t comfortable
It isn’t easy
But neither is staying on the X while your chances of survival disappear
I’ve seen businesses collapse, careers flatline, and lives waste away because people froze when they should have moved
Don’t be them
Move Now!
Here’s what I want you to do right now:
✅ Step 1: Identify your X – Where are you stuck?
✅ Step 2: Make your first move – No matter how small
✅ Step 3: Execute within 24 hours – Movement must start NOW
Because here’s the reality:
Every second you spend on the X increases risk
