Further bolstering this claim, leaked images from the Spotify PC application surfaced, showcasing apparent lossless audio support. These images, reportedly from the app’s code, show settings for lossless audio playback and headphone optimization.
While Spotify’s CEO previously hinted at improved sound quality, this in-app evidence provides the strongest indication yet that lossless audio is nearing release.
Independent verification of lossless audio functionality emerged from a Reddit user. This user enabled lossless audio within the Spotify PC app via a script, although they reported limited playback duration before the server interrupted the stream.
