Free T VS treaming Services
The price of YouTube TV increased to $82 after it became a premium service. I subscribed to 99 monthly in January 2025 and immediately canceled it. As I transition from my old YouTube TV subscription to these cheaper alternatives, I’m no longer missing any content from the channels

There is an impressive range of products, and it is not less expensive than the free option No-cost TV streaming channels For those who are comfortable with watching commercials. Some of my top picks are::
- Tubi: The Fox Corporation is the proprietor of an ad-supported channel. The company has content deals with Lionsgate and MGM and offers over 250,000 movie and TV show episodes that are broadcasted on 78 channels
- Pluto TV: Paramount Global, the owner and operator of Pluto TV, provides a significant amount of live and on-demand programming
- Plex: Plex not only provides your own personalized media library but also offers free ad-supported live TV, movies, and TV shows. Although the content is limited, I find the interface to be user-friendly and appreciate the ability to organize all my content into a single location
If you don’t want to watch what you want, there are paid streaming options available
2. Frndly
Live TV is your go-to choice if you’re into lifestyle channels and documentaries Frndly Offers an affordable service. Frndly has three plans:
- For $8, the basic package includes standard-definition viewing on a single screen
- The intermediate plan costs $10 and includes a DVR feature that allows titles to be saved for up to three months
- Four screens and up to nine months of DVR storage are included in the $12 premium package
Although Frndly’s channel selection is not as extensive as its more expensive on-demand options, it still offers good value for money compared to other low-priced cable TV options. The TV network boasts a diverse range of channels, with History, Ion, Hallmark, A&E, INSP, Game Show Network, and The Weather Channel all providing Channel service. In addition, there is a substantial selection of films and regional TV channels to keep you entertained
3. Philo
Starting at $28 per month Philo Is notably more costly than Frndly. Nonetheless, it is still less expensive than YouTube TV and appears to be a premium service Philo possesses an abundance of impressive attributes , with over 70 channels, a DVR service with unlimited storage for up to 30 days per title, and over 100 free channels offering preprogrammed Content
Although Philo isn’t quite as comprehensive as cable TV, with only a handful of news channels and none of the sports content available, it still provides enough value to justify its price. The channels that are available include BB CA merica, BET, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, Hallmark, SCI, Lifetime, and the Travel Channel. Although the interface is user-friendly, the viewing experience is limited to 1080p with no 4K support and some ads are scattered throughout Philo’s contention
4. Sling TV
Sling TV is not the top choice for those who prefer cord cutters. With a starting price of only $45 per month, you’ll probably have to pay more for features such as DVR storage and channel addition. With that said Sling TV is one of the most comprehensive YouTube alternatives , with plenty to shout about
Sling TV offers two different plans, Orange and Blue. The cost of each is $45, while the monthly payment for both is $60. The Orange plan is perfect for sports enthusiasts, featuring ESPN in stunning 4K and ESPN2 and subsequent networks. Fox, NBC, and ABC are among the network TV providers that fall under the Blue plan. Despite this dissimilarity, subscribers will be provided with 35 to 46 channels, including the most popular movie and TV programs, on both plans

Hallmark, Cooking, Discovery, History, BB CA merica, Lifetime, Science Channel, Vice, and the Weather Channel are just a few examples of lifestyle channels.
